Hakdong Village, the jipseongchon of the Jeonju Choi clan, one of the three major villages in the coastal region of Gyeongnam, is a typical noble house in the southern region, and I stayed in a sarangchae (sarangchae). Overall, it is cozy and not bulky, and the elegance of a wealthy family flows everywhere, even down to the bamboo forest behind the house. The walls of the village alleys are made of flat stones layered together with red clay, creating an extremely elegant scenery. It is a recommended lodging place for families with children and couples who prefer an old house stay. It is worth the cost of accommodation just to enjoy the beautiful flowers of the quince tree in the front yard of Sarangchae🌳🌸

It is amazing to see a house that is more than 200 years old. You can feel a special energy right from the front door. Admission is 1,000 won per person, but it is worth it. The signboard and framed letters are full of power. Each room has a different structure and a different height. It makes you imagine how the people who lived in this house lived in the past. The yard is neat and the flower pots placed in front make you feel good. Even the dog on one side of the yard can't be that gentle. However, it is prohibited to approach someone in a light-hearted manner just because they are polite. The neighborhood is also full of charm. After raising the flat stone and piling up the red clay, the flat stone was placed again. The whole neighborhood is like this, and Choi Pil-gan's old house is also the same. It's the perfect place for peaceful time travel.
