I stayed in Incheon and found out about Taean from a friend of mine. The place is just about 2 to 3 hour drive and is a perfect getaway to beat the city traffic and feel like enjoying a short vacation.
You can enjoy the National park and enjoy an endless walk.
Stay options are available along the main coastline. Limited options for food but you will still find a GS or CU store to get some snacks and chilled beer :)
Good place to visit for a weekend.

It never crossed my mind that Korea has such beautiful beaches. Taean National Park is definitely worth the 3 hours drive from Seoul. Best enjoyed if you stay over night in one of the many beach glamping sites along the coast!

If coming from seoul go to the central city bus terminal to taean. Bus leaves every hour and the trip is about 2 hours and 10 minutes. I went to mongsanpo Beach which you should take bus 1000 at the taean bus terminal for 2 stops about 23 minutes then get off and follow the sign to the beach/ trail.( see photo 3 to schedule of bus.). There are lots of convenient stores to get food. Then enjoy the beach or easy trail that you can do in crocs.

Public restrooms are not enough for a large group of people, but for small groups and families, there are well maintained ones.
Lost and found items with IDs can ne picked up at the police station.
Many amenities are available for campers.

It was alright. The dunes were not as big as I was expecting but it wasn't a terrible visit.
