I'm on the way back to Seoul in a taxi with my family now, we're all feeling a bit sad at leaving. We came here on the recommendation of our friends and stayed four nights. It was wonderful. We didn't know what to expect at all, but I'm so glad we came. We'll have family memories to talk about for a long time: the charcoal barbecue on the grounds - "uncle" (though really we should have called him 할아버지 Haleobeoji) took us to the supermarket to pick up supplies - uncle packing us off on a short hike with gimbap (fyi Pallbong-san is closed in winter now so we walked up a very steep service road nearby and still got to tramp through mud and leaves ), my boys helping uncle build a campfire then having fried chicken and maekgoli by it, running through the grounds with the dog, drinking water straight from the tap, dakgalbi at a nearby restaurant... My husband and I even managed to go for a short run - it's about 20+min out till the pavement ends, so a 40min or so round trip depending on your pace, probably 6+-7km. We didn't go to Vivaldi Ski Park in the end, felt it wasn't worthwhile because it wasn't real snow, haha. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your kindness, hospitality, and stories. 우리가 즐거운 시간 있었어요~

My best stay during the 7-day-trip in Korea. John Lee, the host of the guest house is so friendly and helpful. He's like an old friend picked us from ski resort, introduced the community on the way back, also drove us to the nearly super market recommended us the local drink and food, how farmer grow ginseng, culture and stuff...And gave us lots traveling tips and suggestion. thanks, John~ The accommodation is well equipped and cozy. Many hiking paths and trails near by. it's a good place for natural lover.

This is my favourite stay in Korea. The host was very nice and hospital like a caring grandpa. He introduced us to a ski hire place with 50% off and even helped us withdraw some cash. At the evening he cooked KBBQ for us (you are meant to bring your own meat but he used his) and we are together while he told us all about his travels and Korea. They also cleaned our rooms which gave us a surprise as we returned to clean rooms. A great experience and a highly stay if you are visiting Vivaldi Ski Park or Aqua World.

We stayed here for 5 nights and let me just say that it was the most comfortable stay of all in our S.Korea trip. Clean, up to date lodgings set in a picturesque valley with views and views. Quite, serene and the owners of the place went above and beyond to maximise our stay experience from driving us to supermarkets and restaurants so we'd be able to navigate the rural setting to cooking us a surprise bbq one night to cleaning and making the beds each and every night. Not what you expect but my travelling companions and I were blessed to have found this spot. P.S. we may have already collapsed on the bed before the first photo.

Super lovely stay with beautiful views and even better service! The owner makes you feel like family with his bbq, driving you for discounts for skiing/grocery shopping and letting you know about the best places to eat at. The rooms were always cleaned after a long day. Conveniently located an 8 minute drive from the Ski resort and OceanWorld.
