We arrived on bicycle after dark at 8pm thinking it was the place we booked only to realize that the place we booked was 14km away and we were too tired to go back. The owner even though he has not expecting us welcomed us and organized dinner. The house is beautiful and well renovated with a lot of history. The sleeping quarters are very cozy and it is fun to stay in a traditional space with traditional futon. Overall we had a lovely stay and I am so glad in the end it was where we slept. I would highly recommend for the experience and kind owner. The bathrooms are also exceptionally clean.

I spent 1 night with my family and it was a fantastic experience! Authentic, clean and the owner is very kind. The toilet was shared but very clean too. I absolutely suggest this house!

Very nice traditional house in the countryside.
Nice walks, cute cafés and a great temple nearby. Shared bathroom. The owner went in our room to put water and take the blanket. Nice intention but felt my privacy abut invaded.

If you're wanting an authentic hanok experience then this will be exactly it. House was beautiful, well maintained and also designated as a cultural site. Probably the reason why it is less popular compared to the other hanoks is due to its location which is not within the hanok villages. However that also be one of its best features as it was peaceful, quiet and views of the nearby mountains were amazing. Within walking distance of Bongjeongsa Temple. Owner was friendly and well-spoken (in english). Extremely helpful as well to recommend itineraries and calling taxis. Breakfast was simple toast, fruits and coffee so don't be expecting anything fancy.
Note to anyone visiting Andong; public transport is almost non-existent and buses run only every few hours. There are many taxis though but I'm not sure if kakaotaxi works there. Rent a car if you prefer.

Clean rooms and a very beautiful historical house. super friendly and english speaking host. BUT Do Not book it If you are Not willing to have some inconveniecies ! Rooms are ultra small and there is only one bathroom which can be overcrowded!
Only book it If you really want a traditional countryside experience!
