Really great time. After a nice walk in the snow with small ice crampons purchased at the entrance, the atmosphere in the birch forest was really magic. Should go early morning to really enjoy the light. Highly recommended for a winter outing.

Very nice hiking area and the birch trees are beautiful even in the winter! Before entering need to purchase the traction grips for shoes if you already don’t have one for 5,000 Korean Won. They don’t let you go up without it for safety reasons. Nice scenery when you go up the hills. The trees are absolutely beautiful to see. Parking is kind of rough because it is a popular hiking spot and parking lots are full so I had to park at a random side road. No admissions to enter which is very nice.

Amazing scenery at the birch forest. The route to the forest is rather steep and slippery (during winter) along the way. Do take a walking stick at the entrance which will help to make your climb easier. Worth the effort to climb up to see such an beautiful birch forest.

Perfect place to take a deep breath. It's about 2.5km up. The way is easy to walk, and over there between the trees is very fresh. The are restrooms up there if need. Wonderful place. So recommend

Most of the park is closed until end of Feb due to weather. We had to walk 2.7km slightly uphill one way and back. At the end, you finally enter the birch forest and can walk around a 300m loop. Crampons or snow chains is a must. Not really worth the effort in my opinion. Would suggest going to seoraksan instead if you could.
