I took some of my friends to the new guesthouse and it was so much fun. We had a nice South African braai the first night and a nice SA breakfast the next morning. Each room has its own bathroom which is so comfortable and a spacious outside space for having fun. You still have your ocean view from this house and its just a 2min walk to the beach where we also did some activities like paddle boarding and kayaking which you can book together with your stay. Thank you to the owners for making it a memorable weekend and for making sure our stay was amazing.👍🏼

EXTRAORDINARY STAY AND HOSTS. This place is amazing. We had a wonderfull stay for 6 nights at Derrick and Sugis guesthouse. They were extremely helpfull, openminded and made us feel at home. The location of the guesthouse is great with calm mornings on the balcony and views over Wahyeon Sand Beach. We stayed on the 2nd floor with morgningsun, balcony and seaview. Ferries and busses departs only 2-5 min away from the guesthouse, which makes it great place for backpackers. Beautiful beaches and hiking spots on Gorje are never far away! Warmest recommendation from Us!

Ha-Wahyeon Guest House invites you in with a warm welcome and a feeling of home. The owners, Derrick and Sugi, are both very helpful and try to help as much as possible. They helped me to find out when tourist sites would be open or closed, how much it would cost to get in, and helped me to make reservations for places that needed reservations. The guest house is within walking distance of a clean and quiet beach. You can relax with a coffee in your hands while listening to the sound of seagulls, waves, and children playing in the sand. If you don’t feel like sitting on the beach the whole day there are numerous fun places you can travel to, all between a 10 - 30 minute drive from the guest house. The rooms at Ha-Wahyeon vary in size, so whether you are traveling solo or in a group, there will be a place for all. The rooms are clean and supplied with everything you may need. If you find that you are missing something you can just ask and the hosts will try and help you. My reservation was for a self-catering unit, however, for a small extra fee I was able to have a delicious and generous sized breakfast added, as well as a “braai” or barbeque with more food than I could eat. Overall if you are looking for a safe and warm stay on Geoje island I recommend that you place Ha-Wahyeon 1st on your list. Note: Sorry, I enjoyed my stay so much that I forgot to take photos of the actual room that I was staying in.

The guest house is in a perfect location and very clean. Derrick and Sugi are very kind and goes out their way to make sure you're comfortable. Definitely will go back soon.

I stayed in a private house on the first floor, and each of the three bedrooms had their own bathroom, so it was really convenient. The living room and kitchen were very convenient to use, and the sea view and star from the front yard were beautiful^^
