It's cozy and special but it would be better if there were beds.

A beautiful Hanok stay in Iwon Peninsula, Taean, Chungcheongnam-do. ‘Byeolgung’ with a great ocean view. Check-in: 15:00 / Check-out: 11:00 / 0507-1419-7273 / (May twin uterus review for 2-4 people) Built using pure red clay and rice straw in the same old-fashioned way. An eco-friendly traditional Hanok villa! It is neatly managed and the facilities are good. Above all, the West Sea ocean view window is very impressive~ Barbecue available (+20,000), mudflat experience during low tide (free) There is also a mini swimming pool in the summer.

I went on a family trip because I wanted to let my children experience Hanok.
The feeling of a hanok was so comfortable, and it was a trip that somehow relaxed my mind. The children ran around and played freely in the veranda and yard, and it even snowed, so we made good memories by making snowmen and snow ducks while looking at the snow. ^^
The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and it was nice that they even had a bidet. If I go in the summer, it would be nice for the kids to experience the mudflats and use the swimming pool. I made a cozy memory in the middle of winter!

Beautiful Hanok Pension but logistically challenging for multiple reasons...
My Korean husband said this pension was a 4 star according to his standards.
I'm not Korean as you can see from my photo. Thus, my standards/travel expectations are completely different.
Pros of this pension:
Beautiful scenery
Private beach (we didn't swim here but I think you can?)
Balcony attached to pension
Private Grilling Area
Shower (with warm water!!)
Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, and Towels in the Bathroom (Can get new towels from owner everyday if you ask and exchange with him your used towels)
TV Remote and TV (both worked)
Large Refrigerator
Rice cooker/Fully Stocked Kitchen with kitchen supplies
Two Burners on the Stove
Kitchen soap available
Air Conditioner (which worked well and so did remote!)
10 min from the beach by car
Cons:
1) Our pension was located at the bottom of the hill. We had to travel down a huge flight of WOODEN STEEP stairs with all of our stuff from our car parked at the entrance to our pension. Had we been injured, old, pregnant, or handicapped this would have been an impossible/awful experience.
2) One male owner was very kind and user- friendly. The other was not. It left a bad impression upon me even though I tried to communicate with him in my busted Korean to the best of my ability.
3) The old wooden stairs in our room connecting the two floors of our pensions made me a nervous wreck considering I was with my 3 yr old and my 5 yr old. They loved the stairs-I hated them because they seemed too steep and dangerous for me.
4) The yo's (mats) we were provided were awful. Extremely thin and uncomfortable. I'm usually cool with sleeping on the floor but these mats/yo were super uncomfortable. Thus, I slept poorly for the duration of our trip. However, owner gave us an extra mat and pillow for free which was very lovely and kind of him!
5) The bathroom plumbing/pipes are very sensitive. Our toilet got clogged easily.
