Ragung Hotel is a very different hotel from what you might be used to going to. We discovered that it was a hotel when we arrived at the place, as we thought it was just another tourist attraction in Gyeongju! We entered and were enchanted by the decoration of the place, which values the maintenance of the original architecture of the building. It has several rooms which we believe are equipped with the minimum necessary comfort. The environment is incredible. I can't speak for the service, as we didn't stay there, but the person who served us and authorized access was very kind and attentive. I believe it's another great place to stay in the city!

This was a very unique hotel experience. It is modeled from old traditional Korean houses. The private courtyard with the hot tub that is filled with spring water was the best feature. Everything was clean and WiFi is available. The breakfast was continental and not too impressive. Very watered down coffee. When we were there, there were families with young children. It would have been nice if they could be in a different wing. I feel with some extra work this place could exceptional, at least to foreign tourists.

The hotspring was great but double check the weather before you go. It rained heavily during our stay and we were able to use the hot spring but had to use umbrellas. Apparently the royal suite has an indoor hotspring so check the weather first. Also if you go during cold times like March, they had an electric heating mat on the bed, a space heater and you could use the ondol. They had sxtra futons in the closet so I spent a lot of time rolling on the futon watching movies before sleeping. Good place for some R&R. Its quiet since there aren't any resorts around and it is next to a traditional theme park but that park is under construction till 2024. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant anymore so you need to do something else for food. You can order delivery through an app or walk/drive/taxi to a restaurant. There is a gs25 convenience store near the entrance of the hotel, about a 10 minute walk so you can buy snacks and drinks there. Fyi there is no way to book this on external sites aside from yanoljia or directly via phone maybe?
