The best place to go to enjoy the arts in Cheongju, from plays to musicals to concerts. There are even free music classes for Korean traditional instruments, so lately I've been learning the hae-geum, which has been both challenging and very entertaining for me.

Excellent design. Excellent acoustics. Good visuals of the stage and orchestra from every part of the concert hall. Very enjoyable concert on Thursday evening, July 13, 2023, with the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra and JooYoung Park (박주영) on Cello as guest artist, along with 5 other young virtuosos (teens to early 20s) on clarinet, viola, violin, piano and opera soprano solo. A Fabulous evening of classical music with bright, gifted and very talented young musicians. The traditional Korean song (Flowers on the Mountainside), sung by the young sopranoist, Ha Yeong Jeon (전하영) was particularly impressive, passionate and moving. Bravo to the young virtuosos and the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, led with skill, passion and beautiful power by Conductor Na Ra Jeong (정나라 님).
