Our recent stay at Shilla Stay Jeju was an overall pleasant experience with a few drawbacks. The hotel boasts a modern design and a fantastic location close to numerous restaurants. Additionally, having rented a car, we found it convenient to explore the town independently.
The reception staff were proficient in English, making communication effortless. Check-in was swift, and we appreciated the efficiency. The hotel itself exuded tranquility, offering a peaceful night's rest.
However, our stay was marred by the ongoing construction work adjacent to the hotel. The noise from the construction, which commenced around 7-8AM, disrupted our sleep and could potentially inconvenience other guests. While some may view it as an unavoidable nuisance, others might appreciate it as an effective morning alarm.
Despite this setback, the overall experience at Shilla Stay Jeju was positive. The comfortable accommodations, convenient location, and competent staff outweighed the disturbance caused by the construction. We hope that the management takes measures to mitigate such inconveniences for future guests.5

Stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Many restaurants within walking distance. The front desk was very responsive and helpful locating attractions. The breakfast was well worth the extra cost. I would highly recommend this property.5

Full marks for location and also service. Rooms were also clean. Only issue I had was there’s construction next to the hotel from 8 am to 6 pm so if you want to sleep in be warned. Location is great next to many shops and the duty free2

The other comments are correct about the AC. The hotel limits the temp and only allows its use during the night. The coolest our room got was 75 and we'd always wakeup to 80 by the morning. Room was uncomfortably hot and I can't imagine what it would feel like in the middle of summer.
