The island has earned its Unesco heritage status. During 2 days trekking on the eastern coast we have visited many fortresses and learnt much about Korean history. The walk through villiages seems peaceful but the island has stormy history. The cherry of trip was Ganghwa peace observatory which offers spectacular view at North Korea5
