On Tuesday there was no queue and ticket is really cheap, definitely worst to visit. It’s an interesting historical place. Not the huge one as in Seoul but perfect if you don’t want to spend an hours walking around.

A nice complex with good signals and explanations. You can collect stamps as you go around. You can also get a free wheelchair, though some ramps and pathways are little challenging and require some muscle work.

Best palace i have been to in S Korea. Actual rooms that are open that have examples of what life was like.

Very nice, part of the fortification of the palace and it has been very well restored and maintained. Too the very steep trail up along the fortress walls, not an easy trail due to its steps and steepness. View is very nice, walk is very refreshing

Hwaseong Haenggung, also known as 화성행궁, is a historical palace located in Suwon, South Korea, known for its cultural significance and architectural beauty. Constructed in the late 18th century by King Jeongjo, it served as a temporary palace during his visits to his father's tomb.
The palace complex impresses visitors with its meticulous design, featuring intricate wooden structures, vibrant paintwork, and picturesque gardens. The blend of traditional Korean architecture and strategic military elements, such as sturdy walls and gates, reflects the dual purpose of Hwaseong Haenggung.
Exploring the various halls and pavilions, visitors gain insights into the Joseon Dynasty's royal life and governance. The throne hall, in particular, showcases the rich cultural heritage of Korea, with its ornate decorations and symbolic significance.
