Very charming and authentic hotel, dating from the XIV century, beautiful garden and room views, peaceful and quiet. The breakfast buffet is great, that's why the 5 stars 🤩 Highly recommended!

We highly recommend this Lovely hotel! Very professional and welcoming staff very willing to make your stay memorable. Our room was very nice with a spectacular view in the quiet part of town. A short walk to the amazing history that is Siena. Excellent restaurants a short walk away too. Lots of stores of you like to shop for clothes or what not.
Breakfast was excellent and great service in the beautiful dining room. Within the entrance is a great courtyard with tables for relaxing.

Rented two rooms in this hotel, had a pretty good time there.
Well located (kind of annoying to reach by car because it’s in the regulated traffic area, but you figure it out).
Truly beautiful cloister.
Very quiet area.
The breakfast was a little pretentious but pretty good.
Our rooms were at the second floor, two high floors that you have to climb up to. I would advise to bring a bag, not a suitcase.
The staff was very nice and considerate.
However the rooms were not truly worth what we paid for them in my opinion. Kind of small rooms; the view was nice but we hoped it would be on the cloister. The floor and bathrooms were pretty clean but could’ve been cleaner. There was a bad smell coming from the pipes in my bathroom, which I assume they tried to camouflage by using a sprayed perfume that was very overpowering ; we had to sleep with the window open to try to get some fresh air in. (In both the rooms we stayed in, there was this strong overpowering perfume smell). I slept well enough, but my sister really struggled with the strong smells that persisted until we left, no matter how ventilated we tried to make the space. I hope that this is not a recurring occurrence, but we did think it I was weird that in both of our rooms there was this migraine inducing smell simultaneously (hopefully in not all of them)… otherwise don’t go if you have asthma or other conditions that get aggravated by strong smells.
Anyway.. enough about the smell. Good hotel aside from that. If you stay there we recommend you dine at Osteria della Nonna Gina, which is very close and excellent! 🍷

Rachele & Elena from the reception are very helpful, they explained the rules of ZTL patiently with us, and answered our questions. Thank you beautiful girls!
I like the atmosphere, our room has a terrace for enjoying the view!
The parking lot is 15euro provided by the hotel.

Very hard to reach by car, despite the four-pager guide provided by the hotel. You will surely get a ticket for entering the ZTL. Turns out that all that Siena seems to care, is to give you a ticket to finance the colourful fanfarre that otherwise would have to be financed by local taxpayers, which would be quite unpopular. The hotel has potential, but is extremely claustrophobic, faithful to its origins. Room has some charm and offers nice views. Bathroom is small and looks ackward. Very bad in-room wifi. A/C is very noisy and insufficient. Mosquitos in the room. There is a very steep stair (4 levels) to get to rooms on rhe second floor. Overall, very gloomy and depressing, as Siena as a whole. Close to Siena's main "attractions" and touristry restaurants with bad service. After all, both Siena and Firenze look like big tourist traps, battered by massive tourism.
