Decent rooms for the price, but there never seems to be anyone around on site. Main advantage of this hotel is its location - around 1 minute to a convenience store, nestled among many restaurants, and 1 minute to Jongo-3-ga station.

Extremely positive hotel if you take the price into consideration. Only the mattress of the bed was not good as it was to hard and the springs were to hard through the mattress. But would still recommend, very clean, good host and you have everything you need on an amazing location!

The J Mini Hotel is not by any means of the imagination a luxury hotel, nor does it claim to be. However, it does lack in several areas that I mean think overall, it's a choice that's best left as a final resort.
Let's start with positives. The location is excellent and is within walking distance of a number of tourist attractions. It's also accessible by a number of subways, buses and night buses, which make it easy to get back to. There are lot of restaurants nearby, including directly opposite the entrance (it's a traditional Korean fish place, if you want a real Korean experience with older Koreans lol). I found the customer service to be fast and friendly too, with regular replies.
The negatives unfortunately outweigh this. It's a basic hotel which clearly is in need of renovation. My floor, the second, had an odd smell which I can't describe other than musty.
The room itself is basic and also needing renovation. I had issues with the door, which had a lock which liked to jam consistently, and required me waiting for it to try to open several times before picking the perfect moment to open it before it closed itself again in error (video attached).
The floor need a deep clean and the bathroom is rusting at the bottom. The mattress is deeply uncomfortable due to its hardness and the walls have cheap wallpaper on them to cover previous dents (that's a Korean redesign special).
The lights work off a single system which is handy, but also never switches off, so you have this pitch black room (nice) with a glaring control panel (not nice). The window also opened to the side of a building, but that's normal in Korea, unfortunately.
For the price I paid overall, I can't recommend this hotel. It's old, it's not cleaned well and the amenities are basic. Do your research and get a similar quality place for 45-50k a night, even on the weekends, rather than the 85k I paid.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It can be reached in 15 seconds after exiting the subway station. However, the toilet door in the room is severely moldy. The smell of mold is very unpleasant and persistent when the air conditioner is turned on. Some of the wall wallpapers have fallen off. The second advantage is that it is cheap and convenient!
