It is a transportation hub in Eunpyeong-gu and is a station where Lines 3 and 6 intersect. Yeonsinnae is said to be a name derived from an old place name for Bulgwangcheon.
Near the station are Yeonseo Market, Mulbit Park, and Rodeo Street.
