The station is a inter chage station when you travel from busan to haeundae beach side. You need to change train to reach hauenade. Underground shopping is also available.4

An older substitute to Haeundae if it's too high-end for you and if you don't care about the beach. Use the metro station here as a hub to reach a variety of food and entertainment. Safe to visit night and day, every alley - if you come across someone acting weird they're probably just drunk.4

It is a cool place to shop, definitely go in the evening, everything just looks cooler, so why wouldn't you. 🤣 relatively inexpensive, although don't expect huge savings.
