We stayed in Nine Brick over the summer and was extremely pleased with our choice. We were really fortunate to have met Han since we checked in, and she really went out of the way to ensure a comfortable stay for us. This included her guiding us how to use the safety box, providing us clear instructions to the airport limousine bus stop etc just to name a few. She indeed is a star employee of this hotel!
This hotel is very conveniently located in Hongdae, with great breakfast options just right opposite the hotel like Offer and mega coffee. Plenty of convenient stores right next to the hotel as well.
One of my best hotel stays in Seoul thus far!

The hotel should 4 star and not 3 star. The room was amazing. Probably the best hotel I've been too in a while. It had amazin view and awesome bathroom. The hotel is also proximity of all the well known shops and metro station.
However our stay spoilt by one of the night receptionist named Jae Young. Who was rude, unwelcoming and doesn't even care that you're there. Even my wife was gobsmacked. Apparently this has been the case for sometime now and there's been complaints about his unprofessional behaviour. It makes me wonder why is he still working there as this hotel would have been perfect except seeing face makes me wish i had booked to another hotel. Management needs to take an action because although i liked the hotel, i would never book again because of his actions.

Overall, we liked staying at Nine Brick.
Pros:
- Good location: close to the metro and to a popular (lively) neighborhood. Not as touristy as the other neighborhoods.
- Stylish hotel: the rooms are pretty cool and comfortable.
- Nice bed and bath/shower. Big desk.
- Internet was... okay. 30-40mb, sometimes interrupted, but workable.
Cons:
- Some things felt very cheap / a bit rundown.
- No business center as advertised. No where to do work outside of the room.
- Somewhat loud in the rooms. We were on the 5th floor and the street noise was slightly bad... although not earplug worthy.
- Heat was a bit difficult to control in the room. We were there in January and had to constantly open the window or turn the AC on to cool the room down, which was finicky.
Overall, I'd stay here again for the price, but think the hotel can make some improvements.

We booked two rooms and they arranged different floors on the 3/F and 5/F. The room on the 5th floor are much more darker than the other one. Even we turned on all the light, the room is still not light enough. The lighting on the 3/F room is good but there are few stairs on the floor. It is not convenient if you have luggage. The lobby is pretty small but the staff are friendly. You can keep the luggage at the lobby after check out.
