A beautiful traditional hanok building. In a really cool neighbourhood with endless independent coffee shops, bars, restaurants and shop. The hosts are so adorable and generous. They had us smiling and laughing throughout our stay. Thanks so much to both of them.

The Hanok is on the top of a hill in front of a small bus stop. Walking to the subway will take more than 10 minutes. The owner couple was super friendly. They helped us with the directions and served a delicious wonton soup breakfast. The room was home-y and cute. Some rooms do have to share a bathroom, but it was maintained very clean.

It was an unforgettable experience to stay in this gorgeous hanok; location is perfect as it’s right in the bukchon district with a bus stop in front; the host is super friendly and she makes home-cooked Korean breakfast every morning for the guests. I would say this is a must-do experience whilst in Seoul!

We loved our stay. Very nice atmosphere, good location and super friendly host. Sleeping on futon on the heated floor in very small but cozy room. Free coffee, tea and water. Very nice homemade Korean breakfast served in the room or at a table outside.

Stayed here on a holiday for a night in October 2022. My schedule meant arriving in Seoul at late evening with a heavy suitcase - which wasn't ideal for the stay. Would recommend staying here at the start of your trip (where your luggage is likely lightest) and to arrive while it is still daytime. It was hard to navigate the place at night and being a non-korean speaker made it harder. There is a mini bus that goes to the doorstep of the hanok, but be prepared to haul your luggage over subway exit stairs (no elevator or lift from the nearest subway exit to this particular bus stop), and haul it up the mini bus and then up the narrow and stairs at the hanok. Tried taking a taxi/grab but no taxi was around and no Grab accepted my ride.
When I finally took the mini bus and made it to the entrance of the hanok, I had to knock on the entrance door and shout repeatedly for 15 minutes and was about to give up ( I had emailed the hanok to inform them of my arrival time - 8-9pm) when an old lady finally answered the door. She could not speak English very well but thankfully I understood Chinese and she spoke some so we got by.
The place is very atmospheric and well maintained. The place is full of cultural assets and a lot of beauty in the hanok and its surroundings. Be prepared for noise as the place is made of wood and the wooden floorboards will creak no matter how quiet you try to be. The room and shared toilet were basic but clean. I was glad there was floor heating as it suddenly got cold in Seoul the night I was there. There wasn't alot of food options nearby or convenience stores so I took the same mini bus down after checking in to get dinner. Most of the eateries I encountered in the main street downtown had closed by 8.30pm so I ended up eating a scone at a bakery. Like I said - try to check in early and be prepared to haul your luggage around and within.
They serve homemade breakfast at 8am - porridge with dumplings and tea which was lovely. Did wish they allowed a range in timing for breakfast (eg 8am - 10am) as 8am was too early for me. I needed some help with transport options after check out and the elderly couple tried their best to help me. Overall a nice stay for the cultural experience but I would definitely do some things differently (eg. put my luggage in a subway locker, arrive earlier etc) if I stayed here again.
