Great hotel for our first time staying in Seoul. Great location, the breakfast was delicious, with lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. The bar on level 21 offers some amazing views in Seoul, I would highly recommend even if you’re not staying there. The room is small which is quite common in a city like Seoul. Overall great experience.

Pros: Location, right in the center of the city. Many shops and restaurants around. If you do not like crows then this is not the ideal location for you.
Room was clean, nice gym.
Cons: Staff, extremely rude male in front desk. Yelling at tourists and being very disrespectful when asking him some questions.
Room size, I know this is Seoul but for the price I was expecting something a big bigger.

Very close to shops, trains and street food. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Good breakfast options. Staff are helpful.

My experience at this hotel doesn't match the high ratings that everyone else has given it. When I reached my room, the door was open. Upon entering there was an extremely strong smell (likely cigarettes) and realized that housekeeping probably kept the door open to try to air it out before my arrival. It was strong enough that I asked for a new room. The new room was on a different floor where this time the hallway smelled absolutely awful, and the smell never went away for the 4 days I stayed. My room was small (to be expected in Seoul) and there was a bloodstain on the ceiling. It looked like it had been there a while. By the size of the blood smear, I assume a giant bug was smashed up there, but never cleaned. There was only one plug in the whole room, located inside a small cut out on the desk, and my computer charger did not fit inside the cut out so I had to charge my computer in the bathroom instead. There were no outlets or USB ports anywhere else in the room. There was only one main light switch, located on the far side of the room, with 6 light buttons and none of them properly labeled. Whenever I wanted to turn off the lights I had to roll across the bed because there was a chair much too large for the room completely blocking the small walking access around the bed. The carpet in the room and hallway were stained, bleached, and had a lot of cut outs filled in with new carpet patches. The bathtub was so short that I was able to easily touch the ceiling (I am 5'2"/157 cm) - if my 6'+ husband had been with me on this trip, his head would have touched the ceiling and he wouldn't have fit under the shower head. The photos online don't match what I saw. The two plus sides to this hotel: breakfast wasn't bad, and the room was surprisingly quiet considering it's literally steps away from the center of Myeong-dong shopping street (very convenient!). The proximity to the shopping street though meant that there was always a ton of garbage right outside the hotel in the morning, though it was always cleaned up by the afternoon.

Incredible location, honestly it was great to stay in this neighbourhood. The lobby is beautiful but that is clearly the only place they are maintaining. The rooms are pokey and crowded with unnecessary, ugly, outdated furniture. Our sheets had holes in them. Poor lighting in the bathroom and when we had our room serviced they took one of the robes and it was never returned.
Stay elsewhere. There are plenty of other better options for the same price.
