This place is magic! It's the biggest hanok village in Korea and most attractions in Jeonju are either inside or around it. There are many restaurants, cafes, workshops, hanbok rentals and I recommend visiting especially in autumn when all the trees have different colours. It's very beautiful both during the day and during the night so you can see different charms of the hanoks in different lights!

Beautiful and quaint little village with souvenir shops, bakeries, restaurants and points of historical and cultural interest. It’s classed as a slow city and you can definitely tell walking around, it’s so calm and peaceful.

It was memorable trip for my family. The weather was so nice and clear, the hotel was just right in the village. I didn’t plan multiple things for a night and 2 days trip, I just leisurely roam around in the place and had fun.
We had rented a buggy it was easy to access most places without hassle for a small kid and elderly members.
That places were so beautiful and impressive. There were lots of things to see and do for fun. Since it’s famous tourist spot for not only Korean also foreigners, everything’s quite costly. Overall all of us had a blast.

Parking tip: when you stuck finding a parking spot, then go to 국립무형유산원, and along the place you can find many street parking. It seems the police is okay for thr street parking. In fact, you can be even closer to the 전주향교.
Try 한국집. the bibimbob. I ate heated one.
Strongly recommend to wear korean traditional clothes you can rent there so many place you can rent. So fun to wear and walk around and take photos. Not too big place so you can enjoy for less than 4 hrs.

It’s a bit of touristy site but good way to introduce Korea to who’s visiting abroad and locals to Korean history and culture. There is one big church in the middle of the village so expect to find random strangers approaching you with pamphlets, cards or just standing there so better to avoid or ignore them. I would only come again just to eat but not to visit the village again.
