Program venue | Joseon Royal Tombs
The Joseon Royal Tombs comprise 40 royal tombs where kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty and the Korean Empire are laid to rest, and they were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009. Based on Confucian principles and geomantic ideas, the royal tombs, ritual spaces, and natural landscape were created in harmonious balance. Through royal records, you can explore the history and traditions of the Joseon Dynasty, and even today, ancestral rites continue each year, carrying on their cultural value.
