Program Venue | Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty
The Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty comprise 40 royal tombs enshrining the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty and the Korean Empire, and were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009.
Built on Confucian principles and pungsu, Korean geomancy, the tombs, ritual spaces, and surrounding natural scenery are harmoniously designed.
Through royal records, you can explore the history and traditions of the Joseon Dynasty, and even today, ancestral rites continue to be held every year, carrying on their cultural significance.
