Yoo Seung Ho’s Gaze Behind the Lens
For a long time, actor Yoo Seung Ho has expressed other people’s lives and emotions in front of the camera. This time, he shares stories seen through his own eyes.
Carrying a medium format camera and a 35mm film camera, he moved through unfamiliar cities and landscapes, gradually reflecting on what scenes stir his heart, and what he tends to look at for a long time.
Rather than glamour, his gaze lingers on ordinary everyday moments. Watching freely moving animals and quiet scenery, he also captured on film even the shaky, imperfect moments.
“BLUE HOUR” holds the message that different feelings, like day and night briefly existing together, like happiness and loneliness, like perfection and imperfection, can stay together within one person. We hope this exhibition also becomes a moment for visitors to look inward at their own feelings and gaze.
