Yoo Seung-ho’s Gaze Behind the Lens
For years, actor Yoo Seung-ho has portrayed other people’s lives and emotions in front of the camera. This time, he shares the stories he sees through his own lens.
With a medium-format camera and a 35mm film camera in hand, he wandered through unfamiliar cities and landscapes, gradually discovering which scenes move him and what he tends to linger on.
His eye settles on ordinary, everyday moments rather than glamour — animals moving freely, quiet scenery, and even the shaky, imperfect moments, all captured on film.
“BLUE HOUR” carries the idea that opposing feelings — happiness and loneliness, perfection and imperfection — can coexist within one person, just as day and night briefly share the same hour. We hope this exhibition gives each visitor a moment to look inward at their own feelings and their own way of seeing.
