On an autumn night in 2026, the royal tombs, holding the breath of the 500-year Joseon Dynasty, awaken in a new way. From a funeral procession with full royal rites, to the official ceremony announcing the start of the festival, followed by a highlight performance from the royal tomb musical, this program brings together traditional sound and dance with music, visuals, and dazzling light to deliver the history and value of the World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs in a meaningful way.

Program venue | Joseon Royal Tombs
The Joseon Royal Tombs are 40 royal tombs enshrining the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty and the Korean Empire, and were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009.
Based on Confucian principles and feng shui beliefs, the royal tombs, ritual spaces, and surrounding natural landscape were created in harmonious balance.
Through royal records, you can explore the history and traditions of the Joseon Dynasty, and even today, ancestral rites continue every year, carrying on their cultural value.
