About

  • Bukchon Darakbang is a private hanok rental in the heart of Bukchon Hanok Village. This is a real family home that has stood since the 1920s, so the original layout and lived-in feel remain completely intact.
  • Built and restored with soil and natural materials, the interior features exposed reclaimed Korean pine that glows when daylight hits the wood. The result is a calm, unhurried atmosphere that is hard to find anywhere else in Seoul.
  • The entire home is yours: a courtyard, living room, two bedrooms, an attic loft, a kitchen, and a private bathroom — roughly 50㎡ in total. The space comfortably fits 2 guests and sleeps up to 4.
  • From the bedding and curtains to the dishes, tables, and potted plants, most pieces in the space were custom-ordered or handmade. The interiors photograph well without effort — guests often find themselves shooting every corner.
  • Bukchon 8 Views, one of the most photographed spots in Seoul, is a 1-minute walk away. Anguk Station, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Insadong are all within easy reach, and cars can drive right to the front door.
  • All amenities are zero-waste: shampoo bar, face and body soap, toothpaste tablets, and a bamboo toothbrush. A small-group natural shampoo bar-making class is also available inside the hanok, so you can pair your stay with a hands-on eco experience.
