GWANGDAE is a signature repertoire of the National Jeongdong Theater Arts Troupe that best represents the identity of Korean traditional performance, Yeonhui.
Set against the historical backdrop of 'Jeongdong' and 'Hyeopyulsa', known as the birthplace of Korea's modern performing arts, the performance allows audiences to experience both the historical significance of the era and the artistic value of traditional performances such as Pansori, Samulnori, Royal Court Dance, and Beona(plate spinning).

[SYNOPSIS]
“The lively stage of the gwangdaes is about to begin.”

While preparing for the performance <2026 Sochundaeyuhui>, a recreation of the 1902 Hyeopyulsa theater production by the National Jeongdong Theater Arts Group and its artistic director, Sunbaek, an unexplained power outage plunges the theater into darkness, sending people fleeing in panic.
Frustrated by the sudden halt in rehearsal, the atmosphere of the theater to change in a mysterious way.
The space transforms, and through the cracks of collapsed time and space, 100 years of history and the gwangdaes of the past emerge.
Amidst this unbelievable spectacle, a mysterious child appears before the bewildered Sunbaek...
