This is the only class in Seoul where you can experience traditional Korean bookbinding. Using traditional Korean materials and techniques, you will complete a notebook and be able to take it home right away.
The inner pages of the notebook are made from hanji, traditional Korean paper used in the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, a UNESCO Memory of the World. Hanji was a favorite paper of Korean royalty and scholars for writing and painting in the past.
The cover is embroidered with traditional Korean patterns on silk, and is available in dozens of vibrant colors. Finally, the notebook is finished with a norigae, a traditional Korean knot ornament, completing its beauty.
Photos taken during the notebook-making process will be sent to you after the class. We also carefully package the notebook to prevent it from getting wrinkled during your flight.
Experience traditional Korean crafts and take home a piece of Korea’s beauty! It will make a wonderful gift, whether as your own Korean travel journal or as a souvenir.
