닭갈비 (Dakgalbi)

A spicy stir-fried chicken dish from Chuncheon, Korea. 
Marinated chicken is cooked with vegetables and rice cakes in Paldo Bibim Sauce, all on a hot grill.

매작과 (Maejakgwa)

A crispy, sweet traditional Korean confection. 
Its name comes from its elegant, twisted shape, said to resemble a sparrow on a plum tree branch. 
The dough is tied into neat knots, deep-fried until golden, and lightly coated with honey.

Our Visit 

I joined the Paldo Cooking Class at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido today! I tried cooking traditional Korean food using the Paldo Bibim Sauce.

We learned how to make hwajeon, a traditional Korean spring dessert. I thought it would be tricky, but it was surprisingly easy! Plus, the colorful flowers made it look so pretty!

Next up was tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)! A big screen shows each step, so it was easy to follow along. Cooking it myself makes it even more fun!

After all the cooking, we all sat around the table and enjoyed it with the hwajeon we made earlier. The tteokbokki with Paldo Bibim Sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
