Booked on a whim, the Hangang cruise exceeded expectations.
I stumbled upon it while walking along the river near Yeouido and booked right away. Same-day booking was simple, and I found the pier easily with Google Maps—no Korean apps needed. Boarding departed exactly on time, which put me at ease. Once out on the water, the city really sparkles—bridge lights, a gentle breeze, and even seagulls—making it the perfect, low-effort hour between dinner and a drink. The pace is just right, so bring a light jacket and, if you can, head to the outdoor deck. Overall, it was fun and relaxing—exactly the kind of spontaneous choice I hoped for in Seoul.

It was a lovely short excursion that rounded off my evening. Unfortunately, some of the people on board were quite loud, so it was difficult to hear the music or announcements. The view, however, was very beautiful!

After exiting the tram station, walk down the park next to it. A short distance on the right, you'll see the ticket office. You'll need to fill out a consent form and bring your passport and reservation number to exchange for your ticket at the ticket office. The staff at the ticket counter were very friendly. 👍 The staff at the convenience store at the pier were also very friendly. They'll heat up microwaveable food for you, but you can't eat it there or bring it on board. ~ It was cloudy that day, so we didn't get to see the sunset, which was a shame. 😔 The outbound trip took 40 minutes, and the temperature was just right—not too cold or too hot. We stopped at the Rainbow Bridge for a while to admire and take photos. 🌈 The return trip was faster, so we could go back to the cabin to listen to a live performance. The set list that day was "Moon River"... 5-6 songs? We arrived at the pier just in time, a pleasant experience. 💖
