FILA × BTS | 2020 Fall Edition
pair. What a steal! The windbreaker, EXPLORE FA jacket, is a bit steeper in price at ₩159,000, but it's the perfect piece for keeping warm on a chilly autumn day. Other than the blue one J-Hope has handsomely pulled off, the windbreaker also comes in black. BTS X FILA : JIMIN This outfit is my personal favourite! The orange hoodie (오버핏 스몰 슈티 후디) was sold out right after hitting the shelves, priced at ₩69,000. The hoodie comes in 4 different colours. Which one's your favourite? Fleece has been a part of the Korean fashion trends for a while now! The fleece jacket Jimin styled over the hoodie, 팝콘 보아 플리스 자켓, comes in 4 colours, priced at ₩99,000 each. The shoes are the original 인터레이션's light version (인터레이션 라이트), costing ₩75,900 for a pair. BTS X FILA : V Can we take a moment to appreciate how well Kim Tae-hyung styles himself? I want to buy every single item he wore in the pictorials! The green V-shaped shirt, 뉴 블로킹 맨투맨 (₩69,000), is so cute! The other two colours are worth considering as well. 커블렛 (₩79,000), the running shoes V rocked, has cushioning that keep your feet comfortable when running. Out of the 8 colours they come in, I like the black ones the most! One, because V wore them. And two, because black is easy to match. 어센틱 백팩 (₩79,000) comes in two colours and is super easy to match! The logo written in a more classic font gives it a unique look. BTS X FILA : RM RM's style in the 'Go Beyond' collection is homey and cozy! I'd love to get matching pajamas with him. The top is Newtro Varsity (뉴트로 바시티 맨투맨), a cute look for going to class and casual chills with friends! You can get one for ₩59,000. The white one with the red logo is also available. Which one would you choose? The shoes in the pictorials are 휠라 페스티보`91, the same model J-Hope wore, but in different colours. BTS X FILA : JIN Our Jin is dressed in all white! White on white is another style I love. The simple, yet stunning white hoodie is 오버핏 스몰리니어 기모후디 (₩69,000) with a thin layer of plush, which gives it extra warmth. A perfect piece to layer in winter, too! The pants (헤리티지 카고 쥬리 팬츠) are also ₩69,000 each. They come in white, black and army green. Sweatpants with elastic bands are rare at FILA so you want to get these if you're looking for a comfortable, casual pair! The colour combination on the jacket is amazing! This oversize jacket (헤리티지 블로킹 자켓) is ₩129,000 and also comes in sky blue. The shoes are 커블렛 (₩79,000), the same model V wore above, but a much more colourful version. Simple and easy to match vs. artistic and colourful. Both work for me! BTS X FILA : SUGA I feel like SUGA here is rocking a college oppa style! The jacket (컬러 블로킹 아노락 자켓) is ₩129,000 and comes in red and navy, too. Which one would you want your oppa to wear? SUGA's shoes are 웨이블렛 (₩79,000). The soft, subtle contrast of colours makes this model unique from all the other FILA designs. Other than the simple pair SUGA wore, 웨이블렛 comes in many different colours! BTS X FILA : JUNGKOOK Last but not least is maknae Jungkook! The tricolour fleece (팔레트 보아 플리스 자켓) looks really nice on Jungkook. In addition to the classic red, black, white combination, the jacket (₩99,000) also comes in green and yellow. The casual zip up (뉴트로 넥 포인트 하프 집업) is ₩69,000 per piece and also comes in grey. Same as Jin and V, Jungkook rocked a pair of 커블렛 (₩79,000), adding a nice clean finish to the look! What did you think of the collection? Other than the pieces covered above, I would love to get my hands on the hip sack! What's your first go-to from the collection? Let us know by leaving a comment below!...

BTS Tour - Exploring J-Hope's Hometown Of Gwangju
SEOIL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 서일초등학교 Address: 광주 복구 설죽로 590 590 Seoljuk-ro, Ilgok-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju I could picture little J-Hope running around the school building. How cute! This must be the view J-Hope saw going to and leaving school every day. Wonder if he was ever late to class! In front of the school, you'll also see this bakery that's been standing here for many years. Maybe J-Hope also bought bread and pastries here as a kid, too! ILGOK MIDDLE SCHOOL 일곡중학교 Address: 광주 북구 설죽로 570 570 Seoljuk-ro, Buk-gu, Gwangju Just about a 4-minute walk from the elementary school, you'll find the middle school Ho-seok attended and graduated from! I found a bunsikjip (분식집) in front of the middle school. A bunsikjip is a school food/snack eatery or street stall that sell simple foods like , , , and . Korean kids growing up always carried a little bit of cash around to snack on them. I wonder if J-Hope also stopped by this place with his friends! This supermarket too! He walked past this place on this way to and from school. He probably bought snacks here too. KUKJE HIGH SCHOOL 국제고등학교 Address: 광주광역시 북구 삼각동 479-1 479-1 Samgak-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju How To Get There: Take bus 29 at Seoil Elementary School bus stop. Get off after 6 stops at Kukjego (Kukje High School). From the gate, you have to walk uphill quite a bit, as you can see in the picture below. J-Hope must have had a good workout walking up the slope on a daily! Because Kukje High School is located right beside Jeonnam Girls' Commercial High School, I wondered if any girls from the school had a secret crush on high school Ho-seok. TANGO AGUJJIM 탱고아구찜 Address: 광주 북구 설죽로 471번길 12 Gwangju, Buk-gu, Samgak-dong, 781-5 Hours: 11:00-21:00 Break Time: 15:00-16:00 Closed: Mon & Tue How To Get There: About a 4-minute walk from Kukje High School I saw that there's a really popular agujjim (steamed monkfish) place near J-Hope's high school, so I decided to eat lunch here. I entered without waiting at 12 noon, but in about 30 minutes, patrons started lining up for tables. I knew I had come to the right place. In the pot, you get monkfish as well as vegetables like bean sprouts steamed. You can choose to order only monkfish or you can mix internal organs with the fish. We ordered small (for 2-3 persons) and went with the 'lots of meat · 살많이' option, which comes without internal organs. One thing to keep in mind that there is a dining time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes because the restaurant is super busy with lineups. The order included kimchi, salad, seaweed, (fermented skate fish), boiled quail eggs, (cold soupy kimchi), and surprisingly samgyetang (chicken soup) in a stone pot! The chicken was really tender and the soup had a deep, authentic flavour. After a short time of devouring the chicken, the main menu agujjim was served. Look at the colours! Cut the soft, chewy rice cake into bitesize pieces. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of monkfish we got. Most agujjim restaurants will serve more bean sprout than fish, but this restaurant even had a sign up that read, "This is an agujjim restaurant, not a steamed bean sprout restaurant," and they weren't lying! You get so much fish here. Just look at the meat! The service we received was also wonderful and I would definitely recommend this eatery to anyone. JOY DANCE & PLUG IN MUSIC ACADEMY 조이댄스 플러그인뮤직아카데미 Address: 광주 동구 중앙로 185 3F Kwangju, Dong-gu, Geumnamno 4(sa)-ga, 중앙로 185 3F Hours: 09:00-18:00 How To Get There: From Tango Agujjim: Take Yongjeon 184 bus at Yangilro Yipgu (양일로 입구). Get off at Yesuleui Geori Yipgu (예술의 거리 입구). Subway: Geumnamdo 4-ga Station Exit 1 This is the dance school J-Hope attended! Many other K-pop stars including 2NE1 Minzy, Kara's Hara and IZ*ONE's Choi Ye-na attended the school. Signs of J-Hope welcome us at the entrance. We can see that the school is very proud of him! The 2nd floor was for vocal training and the 3rd for dance training. We went up the stairs and looked in front of the classroom, which had information about auditions. It seems that entertainment agencies come by to see if anyone is worth casting as a trainee. Please remember that entry is not allowed as students need to focus when practicing! K-POP STAR STREET Address: 광주 동구 충장로3가 Chungjangno 3(sam)-ga, Dong-gu, Gwangju Subway: Geumnamdo 4-ga Station Exit 1 About a 4-minute walk away from the dance academy, you'll find Chungjangno. Often referred to as the Myeongdong in Gwangju, it's a big shopping district with an ongoing project of transforming into K-pop Star Street in 2021. Aside from BTS J-Hope, TVXQ's Yunho is also from Gwangju, so the city is attempting to revitalize the region by showcasing their superstars. Our main goal of hitting Chungjangno was to see the picture of HOPE WORLD. Cross the road from exit 1 of Geumnamdo 4-ga Station and walk past Olive Young on your left. Wait, on the way, we could spot a big poster of BTS at FILA! Make a turn from the post office (right beside FILA) and you'll see a huge picture of HOPE WORLD. Cute colours! Refer to the address below if you'd like to come to Gwangju and find the place. GWANGJU CHUNGJANGNO POST OFFICE 광주충장로우체국 Address: 광주 동구 충장로 94 충장로우체국 94 Chungjang-ro, Chungjangno 2(i)-ga, Dong-gu, Gwangju Subway: Geumnamdo 4-ga Station Exit 1 Culture Complex Station Exit 3 As we were walking, we also saw an exhibition combining photos of different K-pop stars! Names of K-pop stars whose hometown is Gwangju were written too. Look for the name of your bias here! PENGUIN VILLAGE 펭귄마을 How To Get There: From Chungjangno Post Office: Take bus 55 at 국립아시아문화전당 (Asia Culture Center) and get off at 양림교 (Yanglimgyo) Subway: Namgwangju Station Exit 3 Address: 광주 남구 천변좌로 446번길 7 201-64 Yangnim-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju Penguin Village became the talk of the town and eventually became a tourist attraction after cleaning up an empty house destroyed by fire and displaying abandoned items on the walls of the residential area. Many residents of the village said one of the elders of the village who limps from a traffic accident 40 years ago walks like a cute penguin and that's where the name for the village came from. The village has the 70s and 80s vibes, taking each visitor back in time. You'll find lots of cute photo spots here! So how is the village related to Ho-seok? Tada! You'll find a painting of J-Hope down the alley. And... another one of him smiling and sending us a heart! I don't think they look accurately like Ho-seok, but they're so cute that I had to snap lots of photos. Don't forget to sit on this bench and take pictures, too! It would be a fun destination to hit on his birthday. To commemorate J-Hope's birthday, the painting was created on February 16th to 17th in 2020, with the support of his Chinese fans. So sweet! Sadly, the fans wanted to draw the wall paintings themselves, but they couldn't travel over because of the pandemic. Please refrain from touching it and damaging it as they were made with love and efforts from the fans! SIGNIFIÉ Address: 광주 남구 백서로 78 116-3 Yangnim-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju Hours: 12:30-22:00 Mon: Closed Subway: Namgwangju Station Exit 3 This hanok-style cafe is close to Penguin Village. I really like cafes in Korea with this kind of atmosphere. My friend and I really liked that it was as stylish as trendy cafes in Seoul, but not as crowded. You can slowly enjoy the vibe and take pictures without having to say, "Excuse me". Please remember that the cafe is decorated with antiques from the 1960s to early 2000s, so be careful not to damage them. We also received friendly service from the kind staff. The perks of drinking coffee at a local cafe! The menu comes in Korean, English and Japanese, so ordering was a breeze. We ordered americano (4,500 won) and apple crumble (6,500 won). The hit of caffeine and sweetness we've been waiting for! The apple crumble went over my expectation! It was so delicious that we secretly didn't want to share with each other. It's a short distance from Penguin Village, so if you need a kick of caffeine or desserts, stop by! LEE JANG-WOO'S HOUSE 이장우가옥 Address: 광주광역시 남구 양촌길 21 Gwangju, Nam-gu, Yangchon-gil, 21 Hours: 09:00-18:00 Subway: Namgwangju Station Exit 3 This historic hanok house was designated as the first Gwangju Folk Material in 1989. It's considered a sturdy example of Korean architecture and well-preserved. It's an upper-class house with a gate, storage, servants' quarters, detached building and the main building. () It's about 1600 pyeong (Approx. 17,000 sq ft) wide! The building was originally owned and partially built by a person named Jeong Byeong-ho and was later purchased, preserved and added buildings by the current owner, Lee Jang-woo, in 1965. It is extremely well-maintained, so it's a must-visit for thosee who like history and architecture. Unfortunately, we were permitted entry due to the pandemic. It was still amazingly beautiful to look at from the courtyard. The place made me imagine life in Korea back in the past. Let's head over to our final destination! We're going to hit a traditional market and travel there by subway. Leave from Namgwangju Station (line 1). The seats on Gwangju Subway facing each other were narrower. Get off at Gwangju Songjeong Station and head out exit 2. You should get a view like this when you exit. Turn left. Make a right at the first intersection and you'll be there very soon. 1913 SONGJEONG STATION MARKET 1913송정역시장 Address: 광주 광산구 송정로8번길 13 38 Songjeong-ro 16beon-gil, Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Hours: Mon-Thu: 11:00-22:00 Fri-Sun: 11:00-23:00 Closed on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month As the name indicates, the market was founded in 1913. It has a history lasting over a century! The restro-esque vibe gives a sense of nostalgia. Just like Penguin Village, it seems that many young locals are attracted to all things retro. GAENG SONYEON 갱소년 Address: 광주 광산구 송정로8번길 7-4 7-4 Songjeong-ro 8beon-gil, Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Hours: Weekdays: 11:00-20:00 Weekends: 11:00-21:00 Inside the market, you'll find this (sweet red bean jelly) eatery. The modern twist to the grandpa snack is approachable for patrons of all ages. The colourful flavours are displayed like fruits inside. Staff will help you try out small samples so you can pick the flavours you like the most. You can also get a box of assorted flavours to share with friends and family (or devour all by yourself). You'll also find colourful, fruity konjac jellies on sale, a long trend among Koreans on diets. I bought a set of 12 for 12,000 won! The flavours in the set are walnut, chestnut, matcha, black sesame, cream cheese cranberry, peach, mango, citron, straawberry, kiwi, blueberry, and pineapple. I personally enjoyed cream cheese cranberry as it was packed with flavours. BUY HERE 역서사소 Address: 광주 광산구 송정로8번길 7-4 990-1 Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Hours: Tue-Sun: 11:00-20:00 Break Time: 12:00-13:00 Mon: Closed You'll find a prop shop right next to Gaeng Sonyeon. They sell goods with (Korean dialects) written on them, an interesting buy for those who are studying Korean! The one written in pink, "야 있냐," is Jeolla-do dialect equivalent to, "있잖아," in Korean. It's used as a conversation starter. They also have goods with Gyeongsang-do and Jeju-do satoori, so be sure to stop by and learn a phrase or two. Overall, our trip to Gwangju was meaningful that we got to experience J-Hope's childhood spots in person and also learn a little bit of history about this metropolitan city. We hope you found our itinerary to Gwangju helpful! Let us know how your experience in Gwangju goes in the comment section below....

BTS Schools In Seoul | Travel Itinerary For ARMY
From Wangsimni Station, take the yellow subway line (Bundang line) down to Apgujeong Rodeo station. From exit 7, walk straight unttil you reach a major intersection with a school. SUGA & RM'S HIGH SCHOOL Apgujeong High School (압구정고등학교) Address: 서울 강남구 압구정로39길 20 20 Apgujeong-ro 39-gil, Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul The school is known for its cute uniforms. They don't have a separate program for idol trainees, but because of the location (close to Cheongdam-dong where many celeb scenes happen) and a relatively liberal school rules, many idol and actor trainees attend the school. The school actually saw many of its students become celebrities. The photos below show SUGA and RM wearing different uniforms, so we believe the photo of SUGA was taken at his former school in Daegu. Source: JUNGKOOK'S HIGH SCHOOL This school, well-known for its bright uniforms, is famous among all K-pop fans! The school offers an extensive list of performing arts programs including applied music, applied dance, acting, stage arts, etc. School Of Performing Arts Seoul (서울공연예술고등학교) Address: 서울 구로구 오리로22나길 16-26 16-26 Ori-ro 22na-gil, Gung-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul From Onsu station, it's about a 20-minute walk away. You can also take the 6716 bus at exit 8 of Onsu station and get off after 4 stops at Yerim Design High School, Oryu High School, School Of Performing Arts Seoul. We must have visited right when school was off because we saw a number of students in bright yellow uniforms walking down the hill. When Jungkook started attending the school, he had already debuted as BTS, so the news of him entering the school was big news! He diligently attended while being an idol for 3 years. The news of him graduating was also huge. Source: We also covered the restaurant the members went to to celebrate Jungkook's graduation in the article, so keep reading! JIN'S ALMA MATER Now, we're going to visit schools Jin attended! Jin is from the city of Gwacheon, but he started attending school in the district of Songpa in Seoul since elementary. We're not sure if his family moved to Seoul for his education or he commuted from Gwacheon. If you guys know, please let us know! His elementary, middle and high schools were all situated close together, so it'll be an easy trip. The schools are also close to tourist attractions like , and many more, so you can do many things at once in the area. Seoul Seryun Elementary School (서울세륜초등학교) Address: 서울특별시 송파구 양재대로 1264 1264 Yangjae-daero, Oryun-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul From exit 1 of Olympic Park station, walk straight for about 5 minutes and you'll see the elementary school. The land size of the school is pretty big for a school in Seoul. You can also see the Lotte Tower from here! Lotte Tower wasn't built when Jin was a kid, but the area itself has been prominent and wealthy, so we can assume that Jin had a comfortable childhood. A source who knew Jin in elementary school said that he had a bright personality and had lots of friends. He often hung out with friends after school and came home just on time for dinner! Posung Middle & High School (보성중・고등학교) Address: 서울특별시 송파구 양재대로 1278 1278 Yangjae-daero, Oryun-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul This school, situated on a large plot of land, is a private school for boys. While attending second year in middle school here, Jin was first scouted to be in the entertainment scene (There are 3 years of middle school and 3 years of high school in Korea). The agency that tried to scout him was TVXQ, EXO and NCT's SM Entertainment! When Jin was offered a trainee position, he thought it was a scam. From watching Queen Seondeok of Silla, he first dreams of becoming an actor. Source: DONGCHEONHONG (동천홍) Address: 서울 양천구 목동서로 225 225 Mokdongseo-ro, Mok 1(il)-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul Public Transit: Omokgyo Station exit 2 This is the Chinese restaurant the members went to to celebrate both Jungkook's first day at School Of Performing Arts Seoul and his graduation from the school. Source: Fans loved that the members posed similarly for the two occasions! Dongcheonhong has multiple locations, but the one ARMYs want to go to is in Mokdong, Seoul. Take the elevator up to the second floor. ARMYs have probably seen the photo below of the restaurant owner taking the members' payment. Maknae Jungkook is paying. How cute! Usually, the room the members booked is only available to reserving group of a certain size, but the owner allowed us to take pictures on our visit because it was empty. In Korean, the name of the room is Dongsil. Be sure to specify the name on the phone if you and your friends or family would like to reserve the room in advance! The fish paintings we saw in the photos! They're still there. Source: You'll also find Jungkook's autograph at the restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite elegant, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Copying BTS, we ordered a large jjajangmyeon · 짜장면 (₩8,000) and shrimp fried rice · 새우볶음밥 (₩8,000). The jjajang sauce was amazingly delicious! Dessert was included in the meal and we got mattang · 맛탕 (sweet potato made in sweet sauce). Korean-Chinese food is a must-try when in Korea! We would definitely recommend Dongcheonhong to ARMYs and travellers. That was our tour around all the schools in Seoul the BTS members attended. If you're an ARMY and looking for a one-of-a-kind travel itinerary of Seoul, be sure to save this page and share your experience!...

The Members Of BTS | Profiles, Life Stories & More
utilized a lot of different media sources to increase exposure. They've participated in many shows/programs in Korea like Running Man, Idol Party, etc. They even filmed a number of their own shows such as RUN BTS (2015-ongoing), Bon Voyage (2016-2019), and BTS in the Soop (2020) where you can watch them play games, travel, and eat! They also filmed a couple docu-series like Burn The Stage (2018), Bring The Soul (2019), and Break The Silence (2020) that gives insight to their lives while on tour! They even have their own social media platform for their fan base called Weverse. Before Weverse BTS was extremely active on Twitter (@BTS_twt), so much that they were award Billboard Top Social Artist four years in a row (as of 2020). Along with the Korean shows BTS has appeared on shows internationally, like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (BTS week), The Late Late Show with James Corden Carpool Karaoke, and The Graham Norton Show and Britain's Got Talent in the UK. One charm of BTS is their message to youth breaking free of societal norms, and the true fulfillment of expressing yourself. As part of the Love Yourself era they partnered with UNICEF's end violence program and even delivered a speech for the UN General Assembly in 2018. They've also donated to many causes such as education, mental health, Black Lives Matter, and in the recent pandemic they donated to support out of work concert venue employees. Let's now dive into the individuals that make up International Pop-K Sensation Sunshine Rainbow Traditional Transfer USB Hub Shrimp BTS. RM KIM NAM JOON (김남준) Birthday: September 12, 1994 Hometown: Ilsan, South Korea Role: Leader, Rap Line RM now stands for Real Me, previously Rap Monster. RM started in the underground rap scene. Then in 2009 he was invited by Bang Si Hyuk to join Big Hit right on the spot. On top of RM's role as BTS leader, he is also very well accomplished in song-writing and producing. RM is active in writing and producing songs that the band releases. He has released two solo mix tapes, RM (2015), and Mono (2018). RM has collaborated with many other artists, both Korean and American, such as Younha, Warren G, HONNE, etc. RM is also known for being smart. While in school, he took university entrance exams and scored in the top 1% in the nation for language, math, social studies, and English. He has also appeared on a Korean variety show Problematic Man (2015). When it comes to interviews in English, RM seems to be the band's main spokesperson. But how RM learned English is amazing. His mother actually bought him the season set of American sitcom Friends. RM's study method was to watch it multiple times, once with Korean subtitles, then with English subtitles, then without any subtitles. However, it seem like even the seemingly perfect have flaws. He is nicknamed "God of Destruction" because he is prone to accidents such as breaking things, or losing large scale items like his passport, and many pairs of AirPods. JIN KIM SEOK JIN (김석진) Birthday: December 4, 1992 Hometown: Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea Role: Vocal line, Oldest member (맏형) Jin is the oldest member of BTS. He graduated from Konkuk University in 2017 with a degree in art and acting. Despite not having a background in music, Jin was still recruited by Big Hit on the street! He was the first of the vocal line to be added to BTS. He contributes to the writing, composing, and producing of songs for the band. He has even released two solo songs "Tonight" (2019), and most recently "Abyss" (2020). Jin is a talented MC, he's appeared as the co-host for Korean music program such as Music Bank and Inkigayo. He even hosted his brother's wedding! One of Jin's most famous nicknames is "Worldwide Handsome" due to his striking visuals and wide shoulders. Jin seems to be the most vocal of his hobbies of fishing (usually brings SUGA with him), and playing computer games (Maple Story). In the early days of BTS, Jin would do most of the cooking for his fellow members! Isn't that so sweet? Jin even did mukbang-like shows called Eat Jin, where he would talk about various subjects over a meal with ARMY. Sometimes other members, most commonly Jimin and Jungkook would visit as guests. SUGA MIN YOON GI(민윤기) Birthday: March 9, 1993 Hometown: Daegu, South Korea Role: Rap line, Producer SUGA was the second member of BTS to be cast. He started writing rap lyrics at a young age and always wanted to be a music producer. When SUGA was in high school he was talented at basketball, so much that SUGA is the shortened version of his basketball position as shooting guard. SUGA can also serve as a shortened version of sugar because his fair-skin and sweet smile. SUGA's alias is Agust D, which is DT, which stands for his hometown, and SUGA backwards. His talents in songwriting, composing and producing is a huge asset to the band. SUGA is credited for many songs released by BTS. SUGA also released two solo mix tapes, Agust D (2016), and most recently D-2 (2020). He is a sought after for collaborations. He has created songs with many other artists, from both Korea and the U.S, such as MAX, IU (Lee Ji Eun), Lee So Ra, Epik High, Heize, Halsey, etc. Recently SUGA has surgery for a linger shoulder issue from when he was in a car accident from years ago. In recent programs released by BTS, SUGA has taken on the role of cooking for the other members. He is a good chef! J-HOPE JUNG HO SEOK (정호석) Birthday: February 18, 1994 Hometown: Gwangju, South Korea Role: Rap line, Dancer J-hope was the third member to be cast for BTS, and the final member for the rap line. His also is talented writing rap lyrics and composing songs for BTS. However, J-hope's background is primarily in dancing, he has won national awards. So he helps a lot with the choreography for BTS. J-Hope's name came about by J-Hope's desire to be the hope for fans and BTS. He even has a whole introduction bit, "I'm your hope, you're my home, I'm J-Hope!" He has produced one mix tape called Hope World (2018). He also released a solo song "Chicken Noodle Soup" in collaboration with Becky G. This song went viral for it's dance challenge on TikTok, some of members (Jimin, V, Jungkook) even participated as part of this challenge. However not everything was smooth sailing for J-hope. When things were especially hard, he left the band before their debut. This left Jungkook in tears, and RM stepped up as leader to convince J-Hope to return. We are so glad J-hope did return, because we could not imagine BTS without him! J-Hope is a very animated member of BTS and seems to be a ray of sunshine for everyone! JIMIN PARK JI MIN (박지민) Birthday: October 13, 1995 Hometown: Busan, South Korea Role: Vocal line, Dancer Like J-Hope, Jimin's background is in dance. However, Jimin's style was more contemporary and artistic. His modern dance instructor was the one to convince him to audition for an entertainment company! Jimin was one of the later members to join BTS. He also contributes greatly to the band's songs with song-writing and composing. Jimin is a powerful vocal, able to hit a lot of the band's really high notes. He has even released his own solo song "Promise" (2018). He accredits help from RM especially with the English lyrics. The cover photo for his song was taken by V! He has also had some hosting experience as MC for Show! Music Core, and M Countdown. Jimin is known to be every kind and thoughtful towards others. But he also thinks of himself as a perfectionist and seems to be really hard on himself if he makes mistakes at a concert. Jimin's nickname is mochi due to his soft appearance and fair-skin. It recently became a joke with James Corden that Jimin is baby mochi, while James is papa mochi! He is also often made fun of a lot by his fellow members for running late, there is even a clip of RM saying that Jimin is now a verb for being late. He is very close with V as part of the 95 line which is the same year they were born. They even have many stories of them as school boys together. V KIM TAE HYUNG (김태형) Birthday: December 30, 1995 Hometown: Role: Vocal line, Dancer V was the last member of BTS to be revealed. But, he plays a large role in creating the lyrics and melodies for the band's songs. He auditioned for Big Hit in Daegu and became a trainee. His stage name came about as a representation of victory. V is very charismatic on stage with a wide range of facial expressions. V was interested in music at an early age, he started off learning the saxophone, then progressed into vocals. His deep and soulful voice is unique and healing. He has also released a number of his own songs such as "4 o'clock" with RM (2017), "Scenery" (2019), "Winter Bear" (2019), and produced an OST for Itaewon Class called "Sweet Night" (2020). His OST for Itaewon Class was so sweet, especially V's considering his close friendship with actor Park Seo Joon! He became close with Park Seo Joon when V acted in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016-2017) V also has an alias, Vante, which he uses for visual arts like photography, and painting. He has mentioned that his favorite painter is Vincent Van Gogh. V also coined the term "I purple you (보라해)" back in 2016 at a fan-meeting. Since purple is the last color of the rainbow, it is to symbolize long-lasting trust and love. This has become a trademark and phrase for BTS/UNICEF's anti-bullying campaign. JUNGKOOK JEON JUNG KOOK (전정국) Birthday: September 1, 1997 Hometown: Busan, South Korea Role: Main vocal, Dancer, Youngest member (막내) Jungkook wanted to be a vocalist from a young age after seeing G-Dragon's performance of "Heartbreaker". He auditioned for a talent show Superstar K, but unfortunately he was not selected (maybe actually fortunately because now he is a part of BTS). Jungkook contributes to the song-writing and melodies for the band's songs. He has mentioned many times he would like to produce his own mix tape, but that it would take an extremely long time. Instead, he has released many covers of songs by Charlie Puth, Justin Bieber, and Lauv! Jungkook even performed the song "We don't talk anymore" with Charlie Puth onstage at MBC x Genie Music Awards. Jungkook has also competed in South Korea's program King of Masked Singer in 2016. In the early days of BTS, RM introduced Jungkook as the "golden maknae" because of Jungkook's talents in singing, rapping, and dancing. Since then Jungkook has proved his talents in many other facets like photography, filming, and exercise! He has even created his own image called GCF/GCP which stands for Golden Closets Film or Photography, respectively. Jungkook even debuted as a director for their recent song "Life Goes On" music video! Jungkook has also mentioned that he seems to be a sought after member (understandable) since the others would often cry out "JK!" We hope you enjoyed this profile of BTS and the members! We hope you enjoy their music, and message as much as we do! ...

Yoojung Sikdang: The Beloved Restaurant Frequented By BTS In Their Trainee Days
Yoojung Sikdang is considered to be a fairly large restaurant and can accommodate a large number of people. We went there in the afternoon and the restaurant was filled with office workers. We suggest that you avoid coming during the lunch or dinner hours as it gets very busy and you might have to wait in line. We were lucky to be seated right away! For those who don't know Korean, don't worry! The menu is available in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Their most recommended menu is the Yoojung Ssambap, which is pork wrapped in vegetables. So we recommend trying this menu! Just keep in mind that it's only available to order for 2 people or more. Another popular menu is the Bibimbap, the stirfried pork, and Budaejjige which has a heart next to it, meaning it's a house specialty. We'll be back again for sure next time to try all the menus! Who wants to join us? After placing our order, ARMYs like us need to take at least 1,000 photos to keep. The back of our table is full of photos of the boys. The water bottles, tissue boxes, and even boxes for chopsticks and spoons are all filled with pictures of BTS members! It made me so excited. We didn't have to wait long before our food was served. The workers brought our side dishes with soybean soup first. After a while, our main menu, the stirfried pork was served. Even though the restaurant was crowded, I was amazed at how quickly we were served. But even if they took a long time, we didn't mind waiting. There were plenty of photos of the members all around the restaurant to keep us entertained. The pork was very delicious. It tasted like Jeyuk Bokkeum (Korean spicy pork stir-fry). It was sweet, salty, and spicy! All the right flavors to make me happy. Plus, the quantity was huge! When wrapped in greens and some side dishes, it tasted so good. I also loved how we were served already cooked pork, so it was ready to be consumed. We didn't have to wait and cook it ourselves. After eating, the servers came and asked if we were ARMYs. When we said yes, they further asked who we liked. Then, guess what! They brought us souvenirs for us to keep. We were so excited. We could tell that a lot of ARMYs visited because some of the members' merchandise was out or only had one left. For example, there was only 1 RM cup holder that was left, compared to my friend who got a whole set of Yoongi merch. So, good luck everyone! After our meal, we walked up to pay at this huge counter with a large BTS banner. We found BTS keychains and more merchandise of the boys decorated all around the area. Do you see the BT21 characters hanging on the wall? It was so cute! Before leaving, we stopped by to take some more photos to capture all the areas. I was overwhelmed as there were so many stickers, pictures, plushies and other goods everywhere! The owner really knows how to attract all the ARMYs. We'll be back again next time, for sure. Every single corner of the restaurant is full of BTS, and more BTS! You'll see the member's faces on the walls, water dispensers, clocks, even on the ceiling! If only my room looked like this, I'd never leave! Now the place that you've all been waiting for! This is the table that BTS usually sits at when they eat at the restaurant. The table is located in front of the clock. It's easy to notice as there is a table with the member's stickers on it! On the day that we went, we even met the owner of the restaurant. But she was eating so we didn't want to disturb her. There are cardboard cutouts as well to take photos with the boys! But there were people eating right next to J-Hope so we couldn't stand next to him. Another reason why we'd have to come back! We were able to take a photo with V. The cutout is located near the coffee machine. We conveniently had a cup of coffee right after taking this photo! Not only is this restaurant frequented by the BTS members, but there are many other celebrities and idols that stop by. There were autographs of actor Hwang In-yeop, and ATEEZ boy group. How many ARMYs will visit this restaurant when they come to Korea? INFORMATION Address: 서울 강남구 도산대로28길 14 Hours: Mon-Fri: 10:00-22:00 Sat-Sun: 10:00-20:00 Directions: Walk out of Sinsa Station (신사역) exit 1 and walk about 12 minutes to reach the restaurant. Did you enjoy your vicarious visit to Yoojung Sikdang today? I highly recommend my fellow ARMYs to add this to their list of places to visit in Korea! I was so happy from the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. Where else should we go to that is loved by BTS members? Let us know down in the comments below! ...

Cafe Camptong: A Must Visit In Seoul For ARMY
order our drinks. Head to the counter to find another unique thing about the café, namely a Christmas tree hanging upside down from the ceiling! You can look through the menu which is available by the counter. They offer a variety of coffee beans and styles to choose from, making it a great place to visit for coffee lovers. If your sweet tooth calls for a cake as well, choose between the many options and put it on a tray before you head to the counter to order your drink. Having ordered our drinks, we took a look around the shop and found many products, such as cups and notebooks, made by BTS fans. There is also a photo zone on the other side of the shop with the classic BTS message I PURPLE YOU! Don't miss the opportunity to take pictures with the iconic message. As mentioned before, Cafe Camptong is huge! It has five floors, each impressively wide, so take a moment and look around before you choose a seat. When we saw the pink curtains, we realized that this is the spot where V stopped to take some gorgeous photos. One thing that we really like about the café is that they put up pictures next to the spots where BTS were seen in the show. This way we don't have to roam around trying to locate the spots all on our own. While waiting for our drinks, we looked around to see what else the café has on display. Soon we started to suspect that the owner might be a member of the ARMY, because everywhere we looked we saw BTS magazines, books and albums! The interior of the café is fairly plain-looking, with plenty of polished concrete and wooden tables and chairs. But there are also many small and cute decoration details in window sills and elsewhere. You can also get a stamp to put in your book as a proof of your visit! When your drink is ready, you pick it up by the counter. Remember to return your tray when you're finished! Finally our order was ready! We ordered some of the store's signature drinks and cakes: Chocolate Latte, Matcha Chocolate Latte, Egg Tart and Mini Earl Grey. Chocolate Latte 6,500 won Matcha Chocolate Latte 6,500 won It was rich in flavor without being too sweet. It lived up to the hype as one of the signature drinks of the café. New on the menu, Matcha Chocolate Latte was also interesting. It turned out that the aroma and taste of matcha go perfectly with chocolate! Mini Earl Grey 4,200 won Although it is not served hot, it's still soft, and the earl grey aroma is very pleasant. The cream inside the cake is light and not overly sweet, so don't worry about it being too rich. Egg Tart 4,600 won You'll soon understand the reason for it's popularity. The tart is crunchy and delicious, without being too sweet. The tart shell is quite thick, making it a challenge to cut! Having enjoyed drinks and cakes, we decided to explore the other floors of the café. BTS sure know how to take advantage of their surroundings in order to take great pictures. This mirror on the stairs leading to the next floor is a hot photo spot that the members were quick to identify. We haven't even gotten to the second floor before discovering another photo spot! The second floor has plenty of seats available as well. Here we saw many people who had brought books or laptops with them. Oh, and did you notice? On top of (or rather at the foot of it!) the seven BT21 characters are all gathered! There are private rooms available for those who want to sit and read or work in peace. The small rooms are open for anyone, whereas you have to make a reservation if you want to use the larger rooms. If you saw the Run BTS episodes, you'll surely recognize the chairs above, which the BTS members used during the filming of the show. With the show running on the screen in the background, it makes you feel like they are still recording as you sit down! We couldn't remember which member sat in what chair, so we decided to sit down in all of them and make a gif image of it! Does the picture above look familiar? This is where Jungkook took some cute photos, posing like a flower. Want some quietness without sitting in a private room? This corner gives you some added privacy where you can enjoy your coffee in peace. If you're tired of just sitting down, you can invite your friends for a game of dart! J-hope, Jimin and Suga were seen taking pictures here. There are even massage chairs you can use if you want to take a break from all the walking and exloring. It's only 1,000 won for 10 minutes! Some might just walk past these lockers, but not us! We quickly recognized them from the show, and didn't miss the opportunity to snap a picture. Having fully explored the second floor, we went up to the third floor and found out that it's actually an office floor. Only members can enter the space. Let's head up to the fourth floor instead. There is a terrace on the forth floor with plenty of space. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the weather on fine days. The sky is so pretty these days! There's a staircase from the forth floor leading up to the rooftop on the fifth floor. Unfortunately, it was closed when we visited the café. We've been told that you can get an excellent view of the city from the rooftop, so definitely head up there if it's open when you visit. Don't worry about getting lost. There's a floor plan on each floor that lets you know where tables and other facilities are located. HOW TO GET THERE Getting off the bus at Apgujeong Police Box (압구정파출소 정류장). Walk past the W-Store drug store and take the first left. Continue down the alley. On the right side you can see the hair salon LEECHARD PROHAIR. Keep walking straight until you see Cafe Camptong on your left! Cafe Camptong is a must-visit for BTS fans in Korea! Stay tuned as we will continue our quest to find the hottest and best places to visit for K-pop fans!...
