For a lot of Koreans, breakfast isn't breakfast unless it's Korean food. For that reason, there hasn't been a huge scene for Western breakfast in Seoul until quite recently -- brunch joints are slowly gaining in popularity, and there are a few great options out there for those of you looking for good brunch options.

Mother In Law
마더린러

Located in the middle of Ehwa is a classic Bagel shop, Mother In Law. It's quite popular and not only do they have amazing breakfast, but also other meal options.

The bagels are salty, sweet, and satisfying. One should be filling enough, but you might want to order two just in case, especially if you're planning on having a lunch late.

Don't they just look so hearty and good? Mother In Law is from the United States, and the one in Ehwa is an overseas branch. The owner follows the original Jewish recipes so that its flavors are well represented.

Grab your next rich, healthy breakfast from Mother In Law next time you're in Ehwa.

Lucyd
루시드

Lucyd is an Australian brunch place located in Hapeong, Seoul. The head chef is from Australia himself, so you know the food is going to be authentic! They are best known for their Australian Big Brekkie, Avocado Toast, and delicious coffees!

We tried the Australian Big Brekkie (18,000 won) and a Flat White (4,500 won). As the name suggests, the breakfast portion size was very generous! We were shocked at how much food they have us. Everything was well seasoned and the toast was absolutely phenomenal. We dare say that this was one of the best avocado mash and toast we had in Seoul!

We also tried the LUCYD Toast (15,000 won) which is similar to french toast and served with a delicious caramel sauce and topped with a caramelized banana, Lotus biscoff, and vanilla ice cream! The toast was just the perfect amount of fluffy and crunchy. Lucyd serves breakfast all day and also offers options such as pasta and wine for those that are not feeling breakfast foods!

Wonder Bread
원더브레드

It can be difficult to find good breakfast places in the touristy Chungmuro, Myeongdong area

Wonder Bread is a great option that I highly recommend. Although it is a small shop, it does not look like other bakeries. You can see the bread options through the window, and it attracts a lot of surrounding office workers and travelers.

Wonder Bread has a lot of unique pastries. In the morning, all the pastries are fresh out of the oven. Korea is surprisingly good at baking, so visiting a bakery should definitely be on your itinerary.

Wonder Bread is best known for its lava bread. Because they need to be refrigerated to be kept fresh, they won't be placed on the shelf. You need to order food directly from the staff. Enjoy with a cup of coffee.

Songjuk
송죽집

We've gone over some Western-style breakfast options, so here's a traditional Korean one. Songjug, located near Chungmuro-ro, Myeong-dong, is a traditional Korean porridge restaurant that has been in business for more than 50 years. It opens at 7:00 in the morning.

In Korea, porridge is usually eaten when you are sick. The porridge has a lot of nutritious, healthy ingredients. The buckwheat rice and sesame oil are cooked with beef broth.

Although the shop looks pretty old and run down, it's very clean inside and is suitable to rest and eat. Come and experience delicious Korean traditional breakfast for a nutritious start to your day.

The Famous Lamb
더페이머스램

Forget Isaac Toast, come and eat at this super famous joint, The Famous Lamb.

You can actually get unlimited breakfast before 11:00 am if you order a drink and add ₩ 9,000. The selections are like a hotel breakfast buffet.

They have all types of bread, toast, and fruit available. If you are around Hongdae in the morning, make sure to try this buffet-style Korean breakfast. Even if you're not staying at a nice hotel, you can still enjoy the same breakfast.

Hours: 08:00-23:00

Donsubaek
돈수백

Pork soup rice is made by placing pork and fine noodles in a pure white soup. You can add seasoning to suit your preference. There is no better combination than this and rice.

Donsubaek is open 24 hours, so you can come here anytime. If you want to enjoy a warm, hearty Korean breakfast at Hongdae, I highly recommend this place.

the SKYFARM
세상의 모든 아침

The SKYFARM is located on the 50th floor of a high-rise. You can have a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Han River.

This place is open very early in the morning, so come early and wake up among the high-rises.

However, the SKYFARM is a little too famous, not only because its food and location, but also because of all the celebrities that visit. It can be difficult to get a seat.

At present, we have terminated the partnership with the SKYFARM. For details, please click on the relevant article. You will not get a response if you ask for a reservation through Creatrip.

Take the time to take the time to experience the beauty and flavor of the Yeouido landscape.
