The E-Arrival Card is for travelers who are exempt from the K-ETA but still need to submit arrival information before entering South Korea.
Who Needs the E-Arrival Card?
- Travelers from the 22 countries exempt from K-ETA (e.g., USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, etc.).
- Foreign nationals entering Korea without a visa.
- Not required for Korean citizens, registered foreigners (ARC holders), or those entering on specific long-term visas.
Why is it Needed?
Before the introduction of the E-Arrival Card, all travelers had to fill out a physical arrival card upon entry. Now, those exempt from K-ETA can digitally submit their arrival information before travel.
How to Apply?
- Online: Submit via the official E-Arrival Card website (www.k-eta.go.kr).
- Mobile App: Use the K-ETA app before departure.
- Processing Time: Instant confirmation.
- Fee:Free (unlike the K-ETA).
