When it comes to restaurants that remind you of BTS, Yoojung Sikdang probably pops up in your mind.
Yoojung Sikdang is a restaurant that BTS frequented to refuel their energy during their pre-debut years.
They're very close with the owners who even made an appearance on Rookie King.
Today we're going to take you to BTS's past and try the food that they enjoyed, so make sure to bookmark this!
Our Visit To Yoojung Sikdang
Every ARMY is probably familiar with this restaurant as the BTS members came here often during their trainee years. Yoojung Sikdang is a delicious Korean restaurant located close to the company's previous building.
This restaurant was featured a lot on Rookie King Channel BTS. It shows them back in the day when their lives were much more simple enjoying their meal.
If you haven't watched this show, go ahead and watch it right now! It makes me laugh every time.
They're also close to the owner of the restaurant, and the owner calls them nice, humble, and adorable!
Yoojung Sikdang is considered to be a fairly large restaurant and can accommodate a large number of people. We went there in the afternoon and the restaurant was filled with office workers.
We suggest that you avoid coming during the lunch or dinner hours as it gets very busy and you might have to wait in line.
We were lucky to be seated right away!
For those who don't know Korean, don't worry! The menu is available in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Their most recommended menu is the Yoojung Ssambap, which is pork wrapped in vegetables. So we recommend trying this menu! Just keep in mind that it's only available to order for 2 people or more.
Another popular menu is the Bibimbap, the stirfried pork, and Budaejjige which has a heart next to it, meaning it's a house specialty.
We'll be back again for sure next time to try all the menus! Who wants to join us?
After placing our order, ARMYs like us need to take at least 1,000 photos to keep. The back of our table is full of photos of the boys.
The water bottles, tissue boxes, and even boxes for chopsticks and spoons are all filled with pictures of BTS members! It made me so excited.
We didn't have to wait long before our food was served. The workers brought our side dishes with soybean soup first.
After a while, our main menu, the stirfried pork was served. Even though the restaurant was crowded, I was amazed at how quickly we were served.
But even if they took a long time, we didn't mind waiting. There were plenty of photos of the members all around the restaurant to keep us entertained.
The pork was very delicious. It tasted like Jeyuk Bokkeum (Korean spicy pork stir-fry). It was sweet, salty, and spicy! All the right flavors to make me happy.
Plus, the quantity was huge! When wrapped in greens and some side dishes, it tasted so good.
I also loved how we were served already cooked pork, so it was ready to be consumed. We didn't have to wait and cook it ourselves.
After eating, the servers came and asked if we were ARMYs. When we said yes, they further asked who we liked. Then, guess what! They brought us souvenirs for us to keep. We were so excited.
We could tell that a lot of ARMYs visited because some of the members' merchandise was out or only had one left. For example, there was only 1 RM cup holder that was left, compared to my friend who got a whole set of Yoongi merch.
So, good luck everyone!
After our meal, we walked up to pay at this huge counter with a large BTS banner. We found BTS keychains and more merchandise of the boys decorated all around the area.
Do you see the BT21 characters hanging on the wall? It was so cute!
Before leaving, we stopped by to take some more photos to capture all the areas.
I was overwhelmed as there were so many stickers, pictures, plushies and other goods everywhere! The owner really knows how to attract all the ARMYs. We'll be back again next time, for sure.
Every single corner of the restaurant is full of BTS, and more BTS! You'll see the member's faces on the walls, water dispensers, clocks, even on the ceiling! If only my room looked like this, I'd never leave!
Now the place that you've all been waiting for!
This is the table that BTS usually sits at when they eat at the restaurant. The table is located in front of the clock. It's easy to notice as there is a table with the member's stickers on it!
On the day that we went, we even met the owner of the restaurant.
But she was eating so we didn't want to disturb her.
There are cardboard cutouts as well to take photos with the boys!
But there were people eating right next to J-Hope so we couldn't stand next to him. Another reason why we'd have to come back!
We were able to take a photo with V. The cutout is located near the coffee machine.
We conveniently had a cup of coffee right after taking this photo!
Not only is this restaurant frequented by the BTS members, but there are many other celebrities and idols that stop by. There were autographs of actor Hwang In-yeop, and ATEEZ boy group.
