The GS Art Center is set to officially open on April 24 in Seoul, taking over the space vacated by the LG Art Center's move to Magok. GS Foundation's CEO, Park Sunhee, expressed her vision of making the space - recently renovated with over 32 billion won (approx. 28 million USD) invested - into a cultural experience itself. The new art center aims to transcend traditional performance boundaries and become a "space as media." The opening performance features the American Ballet Theatre with Korean dancers returning to perform in their homeland. Highlighting boundary-less art, William Kentridge's work "Sibyl" will be showcased, blending visual art, video, and stage performances. Park's goal is to lower barriers to cultural experiences and foster a culture where diverse audiences enjoy boundary-less performances.
