The CJ Cultural Foundation has been recognized as the top contributor in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations for supporting the arts, according to a report from the Arts Council Korea (ARKO). The study highlighted that between 2014 and 2023, corporate cultural foundations in Korea spent over 2 trillion KRW on public interest projects, with more than half allocated to arts and culture. Despite this, ARKO notes a lack of engagement from the Korean business sector, as only 36.4% of major corporations have established cultural foundations. ARKO aims to encourage more companies to engage in cultural philanthropy for greater societal impact.
