The global K-culture (Korean culture) wave has sparked a surge in foreign tourists visiting South Korea post-pandemic. Allmytour.com, a membership-based global accommodation booking platform, announced a near doubling in the number of group tourists booking its accommodation products last year. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, inbound tourists are expected to reach 16.37 million in 2024, a 48.4% increase from the previous year, recovering to 94% of the pre-COVID levels of 2019. Allmytour.com has partnered with B2B wholesale travel agencies worldwide to enhance its inbound tourism offerings. The company's group bookings rose by 66% last year, with a 95% increase in the total number of booked tourists. The influx has various origins, including Asia, South America, and the Middle East, driven by the reopening of air travel and the popularity of K-content (Korean music, dramas, and movies). Allmytour.com plans to launch a 'web booking' service and a 'group direct booking solution' to further ease the booking process for international travel agencies. With over 3 million properties, Allmytour.com continues to expand its competitive accommodation offerings globally. Co-CEO Hyunil Jung emphasized their success in attracting both individual and group tourists, highlighting plans to focus on digital solutions to capture the growing inbound demand.
