South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho has released an album of French composer Maurice Ravel's complete solo piano pieces and two concertos to mark Ravel's 150th birth anniversary. This is the first time Cho has recorded the complete works of a single composer. The album release includes a recital tour covering all of Ravel's solo piano works in various countries, including an eight-city tour in South Korea. Cho, who first became familiar with Ravel's music at a young age, shared that the album recording process was more stressful than live performances. He aims to present Ravel's intricate compositions by focusing on sound quality and atmosphere.
