Sejong Center Plans to Appoint Artistic Director for Seoul Ballet Company

Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, located in Seoul, announced its ambitions to become a leading repertoire theater by 2025, with a focus on its resident artistic troupes. The center plans to present 29 productions with a total of 174 performances, where 86% will be productions by these troupes. Notably, the recently established Seoul Ballet Company aims to become a hub for contemporary ballet. The 2025 lineup includes performances from various troupes like the Seoul Ballet and plans to appoint an artistic director for the ballet company by next year. The initiative is part of a broader plan to bolster the role of Korean dancers on the international stage. The Sejong Center also introduced new membership benefits to enhance audience engagement.
