The Korean Chamber Orchestra (KCO), celebrating its 60th anniversary, performed Beethoven's complete symphonies at Seoul Arts Center on November 1st. The event featured the world premiere of "Ongoing" by composer Kim Taek-su, which celebrates both past and future growth. The performance also included Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica." The concert reflected KCO's evolution from its origins in 1965 to its present vibrant and free musical expression. The KCO, founded as the Seoul Baroque Ensemble, highlighted its journey and expansion through Beethoven's music while showcasing the direction of concertmaster Choi Soo-yeol and music director Kim Min.
