From September 3 to 8 at Insart Center in Seoul, artist Park Do-hee will host a solo exhibition titled 'Pumpkins Embracing the Ode of Life'. Her works feature old pumpkins adorned with 'Shipjangsaeng' (Korean symbols representing longevity) like the sun, moon, deer, and turtle, embodying the life-encompassing nature of the pumpkin. With forty years of experience, Park uses vivid colors to modernize these traditional motifs. Her aim is for viewers to find life's melody in her works, mirroring the quiet sweetness of a pumpkin ripening under the sun. Park has held numerous exhibitions in Busan and won awards, establishing her mark in Korean art.
