Joonho Choi, CEO of Hyungji Elite, expresses optimism about the reopening of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex with the advent of a new government in South Korea. This move is anticipated to significantly enhance the performance of the fashion industry and its ecosystem. The quick access to North Korea via the complex will allow rapid adaptation to changing fashion trends, unlike overseas production facilities which require several weeks for shipment. Additionally, the company has seen a 26% increase in sales, driven by strong performance in sportswear, notably baseball uniforms, and plans to expand its school uniform business in China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
