Polyphenol Factory, founded by KAIST researchers, has started selling its functional hair care brand, Gravity, in 50 major pharmacies in Seoul and the metropolitan area. The shampoo, which gained popularity online and achieved cumulative sales of 23.5 billion KRW in 15 months, contains a patent-pending ingredient LiftMax 308™ and has demonstrated significant improvements in hair thickness and volume. The product is eco-friendly, utilizing coconut-shell packaging and vegan formulas. With plans to expand across South Korea, Gravity aims for a Japanese market entry through Rakuten by 2025.
