The Story of Samyang Founder Transformed into a Webtoon

A new webtoon titled 'Meon-Meon-Meon' tells the story of Jun Joong-yun, the founder of Samyang Ramen. Set in the 1960s when South Korea was recovering from war, the plot follows his journey to create affordable meals for the public. Screenwriter Yang Woo-seok and artist Kim Min-jae have adapted the tale with fictional elements, focusing on the hardships and hopes of the era. The narrative is inspired by Yang’s novel and was also made into a musical last year. The webtoon enriches the historical story with emotional depth and time-traveling structure.
