Park Yoon-jae, a 16-year-old ballet dancer from Seoul Arts High School, has made history by becoming the first Korean male dancer to win the Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland. The prestigious competition, known as a gateway for young dancers aged 15 to 18, concluded on February 8th. Previously, Korean ballerinas Kang Sue-jin and Park Sae-eun won in 1985 and 2007, respectively. Park expressed his immense joy and disbelief at the achievement, citing the competition as a long-held dream since he began ballet at the age of five. Kim Bo-kyung, another Korean dancer, placed eighth in the finals.
