For the first time in over a century, six palace murals from Changgyeong Palace's interiors, crafted by modern Korean artists, are being exhibited together at the National Palace Museum of Korea. These murals, which include works like 'Scenery of Cheongseokjeong' by Kim Kyu-jin and 'Phoenix Painting' by O Il-young, were originally made in 1920 after a fire destroyed the previous ones. The exhibition, titled 'Careful Reproduction: Changgyeong Palace Murals,' commemorates both the museum's 20th anniversary and the historical aesthetic blending traditional and modern art styles during Korea's early modern period.
