Love and Marriage of a Woman with Down Syndrome: 'Jellyfish' Play Invited Performance

The play 'Jellyfish', which depicts the story of Kelly, a woman in her 20s with Down syndrome, who starts dating her non-disabled boyfriend Neil, will be showcased at Seoul's Myeongdong Theater from September 12-21 as part of the National Theatre Company's special invitation event. Kelly is portrayed by Baek Ji-yoon, a dancer with Down syndrome, recognized for her performance at the 2013 Pyeongchang Winter Special Olympics. The play explores themes of love and acceptance beyond disabilities, with the aim to share a message against division and misunderstanding in society. Directed by Park Jeong-hee, it encourages audiences to rethink perspectives on disability.
