The Imjingang Eco-Trail near the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in Paju, South Korea, is set to reopen in April after sections were damaged by heavy rainfall last summer. Despite remaining closed for repairs since July 2021, the site, famous for its well-preserved ecology and wildlife, is gaining popularity again with increasing visitor numbers. The trail features a 9.1 km route from Imjingak to Yulgok Wetland and is a prime spot for observing wildlife, especially migratory birds. The trail was historically restricted due to military security concerns until 2016, when it was opened to the public for the first time in 45 years.
