CJ CheilJedang Hosts Korean Cooking Competition in Indonesia

CJ CheilJedang held the 'Bibigo X Sages Young Chef Cooking Competition 2025' in collaboration with Indonesia's renowned cooking school Sages, focusing on 'K-Food Using Korean Ingredients'. Approximately 110 young chefs participated in online preliminaries, with the finals held in Surabaya featuring 36 participants. The competition highlighted Korean culinary arts and saw local chefs using popular K-food products like Bibigo dumplings, seaweed, and gochujang (Korean red chili paste). The winner, Michael Khen Samuel, impressed judges with a fusion dish that combined depth in Korean flavors and suitability to Indonesian cuisine. Winners were awarded cultural experiences in Korea, and CJ aims to continue global culinary events promoting K-Food.
