Seoul Design Foundation announced the start of the 'Seoul Light DDP Summer' event at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on July 31st. The opening featured a traditional Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) fashion show, media art displays, and attracted around 60,000 people in a day. The festival runs until August 10th from 8 PM to 10 PM daily, offering free admission to all visitors. The theme 'TIMESCAPE: Texture of Light' extends media facade installations to Seoul's city walls, creating an immersive experience. Notable features include 'Fluid Memory' and 'Light Drops', interactive installations involving 180 media droplets flowing along a water path, providing a sensory experience. The event emphasizes Seoul's blend of history and modern technology through collaborative projects by domestic and international artists. A fall edition is planned, linked with Design Miami.
