A Painting Bought for £150 Turns Out to Be a Salvador Dali Original

A piece of art purchased for £150 (approximately $180) from a house sale in Cambridge, UK, has been authenticated as a genuine Salvador Dali work. Initially not recognized, the watercolor from the 'Vecchio Sultano' series is now valued between £20,000 and £30,000 (approximately $24,500 to $37,000). Originally, it was part of a commissioned series based on Arabian Nights, but many pieces were lost or damaged over time. The painting will be auctioned on October 23 by Cheffins Auction House.
